Toronto’s Harbourfront Centre is an important hub of literacy and the arts for the city of Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area.
With the announcement of their fall line-up of courses and workshops, the Centre continues to live up to their stellar reputation of igniting the creativity of local arts, artists and artisans.
Authors at Harbourfront Centre Book Club
The Authors at Harbourfront Centre Book Club will meet monthly to discuss books hand-picked from Authors at Harbourfront Centre programming, including the International Festival of Authors (IFOA).
Book lovers will no doubt be inspired as well as delighted, as registration includes one-year Authors at Harbourfront Centre membership.

Intro to Creative Writing
Budding writers who one day hope to be one of the featured authors at the IFOA can sign up for the Intro To Creative Writing course, also starting this fall.
The six-week course will offer instruction on the fundamentals of writing, including plot, setting, character and story structure. The workshop will be led by author Brian Francis, recipient of the Writers' Union of Canada's Emerging Author Award and whose first novel, Fruit was the runner-up on Canada Reads 2009.
