Tehran, Iran – It is the second day protestors have been defying the government in Tehran and at least four Iranian protesters were killed by Iran security forces today.
One of those killed includes a nephew of opposition leader Mir Hossein Mousavi who was a presidential contender against President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad during the June election in Iran.
The opposition says Ahmadinejad won the election through massive vote fraud and that Mousavi was the true winner. Mousavi also announced he was upset and suspicious of voter fraud. It was also after that election when voters took to the streets in protests and rioting in Tehran. That protest was considered to be the largest since the 1979 Iranian Revolution.
The protests today began with thousands of opposition supporters chanting "Death to the dictator," a reference to hard-line President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
The Associated Press reported some amateur video footage around the center of Tehran showed an enraged crowd carrying away one of the casualties, chanting, "I'll kill, I'll kill the one who killed my brother."
