Empowerment Tour 2009: Coming to a city near you

 

Would you like to go back to school, but don’t have the money to make this dream come true?  Do you feel stuck in your career or job search and need some advice?  If you answered yes to either, this may be your ticket to advancing to your goal!

As a follow-up to the Project Working Moms article I posted, I was asked to share another exciting program.  It is the Empowerment RV Tour, a part of eLearners.com’s Career Stimulus Package campaign.  The Tour will bring the following to a city near you:

• Offer free career coaching sessions to help Americans discover what is holding them back from success and the strategies needed to move toward success.
• Award more than 100 full-tuition scholarships to accredited online colleges and universities, totaling more than $4 million.
• Award scholarship recipients a one-week paid job shadowing experience to learn more about the industry they would like to pursue and to gain a network of professionals.
• Offer an opportunity for people to donate old suits and other interview appropriate attire.

The Empowerment RV Tour will travel to 40 U.S. cities across the country by RV.  The tour launched in Denver, Colorado on June 12 and will conclude in Los Angeles, CA on September 9.  They will be visiting Sacramento on Thursday, September 3.  They will be at Bishop Gallegos Square at 11th and K Streets from 10 am - 5 pm.  For details on this event or to check on another city, please check their tour schedule.
