4 Homemade Slime Recipes

Homemade Slime – This recipe from Family Fun includes Borax, a product usually found in the laundry detergent section in your superstore or grocery store.

Ingredients:

  • Warm water
  • Elmer’s or White craft glue
  • Borax
  • Green food coloring
  • 2 bowls

Directions:

  1. Mix together 3/4 cup warm water, 1 cup glue and several drops of green food coloring into a bowl.
  2. In the second bowl, mix 4 teaspoons borax and 1 1/3 cups warm water.
  3. Pour the contents of the first bowl into the second bowl and do not stir. Let the mixture sit for about one minute.
  4. Remove the newly created slime out of the blow and divide into sections for the kids.
  5. Store in zip-lock baggies or tightly-sealed jars.

  • Water
  • Corn starch
  • Green food coloring
  • Medium bowl

Directions:

  1. Pour 1 cup of corn starch and 1 cup of water into a bowl.
  2. Mix together with your hands until it becomes nice and gooey.
  3. To thicken the mixture, just add more corn starch or If the mixture is too thick, just add more water.
  4. Once the slime is thick and smooth, add green food coloring.
