Given the ever increasing unemployment rate, I thought I would post some job search engines that have helped me in the past. Hopefully, they will help those that need it. If you have one that has helped you in the past that you would like to share, please post here or email me and I will post.
www.indeed.com (I like this website as you can search by keyword and your desired city)
www.monster.com (Had to post this one though I'm sure most everyone knows monster)
www.gjc.org (This is for GIS junkies)
www.craigslist.org (Search under jobs)
www.careerbuilder.com (University jobs can typically be found here)
www.hotjobs.yahoo.com/jobs/
www.usajobs.opm.gov/ (For federal jobs)
www.govtjob.net/ (For government state jobs)
Also, searching the classifieds in the newspaper can sometimes be fruitful as can be working with a job recruiter. Finally, going to a company's or city's website directly can often prove to be beneficial as sometimes company's or cities only post job openings on their websites.
Good luck.

In searching for jobs, I thought I would add another way. "Word of mouth". Sometimes a friend knows about a job that is opening up; they may hear about it at their worksite and before it is posted let their friend know about the position.
Don't we wish it were that easy!~ But it can happen.
