Who knew L.C. from MTV's hit reality shows Laguna Beach and The Hills was a writer? Her new book, L.A. Candy, will hit stores June 16th and is said to be the first in what will be a three-book deal with publisher HarperCollins.
The official book synopsis reads, "Roberts can't wait to start living it up, she may be in L.A. for an internship, but Jane plans to play as hard as she works and has enlisted her BFF Scarlett to join in the fun."
Sound familiar?
The synopsis always tells readers that L.C.'s book is about "what it's like to come of age in Hollywood while starring in a reality TV show, written by a girl who has experienced it all firsthand."
L.C. told People magazine in an interview, "It's definitely influenced by my own life. The books are about a girl who moves to L.A. and stars in a reality show, so obviously there are some similarities."
She also assured readers and her friends that , "Some of the characters may symbolize people in my life, but it is in no way calling anyone out."
