Mulleavy Sisters at CFDA 2009 (style.com)
Mulleavy sisters, Kate and Laura only a year later after being awarded the CFDA Swarovski Emerging Womenswear Designer last June 2008, have done it again! However this year, they took the crown! And today Rodarte stand as the CFDA 2009 Womenswear Designer of the Year award winners! Pretty amazing since they just stepped on the fashion scene only in 2005. But what a remarkable 4 years they have had! With award after award, Women’s Wear Daily (highly coveted) Cover stories, and even a gown acquired into the permanent collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute, Rodarte is a fashion force to be reckoned with!
