Los Angeles fashion week had a very stylish kick off with the young Hollywood event of the season. The 6th Annual Hollywood Style awards put on by Hollywood Life magazine. And with Bonnie Fuller of US weekly fame at the helm of this Hollywood news heavyweight, you knew that this event would surely be fantastic. With Hollywoodlife.com launching just weeks away, this was a great teaser of what is to come. Each part of the evening was fabulous, so let’s break it down.
The Red Carpet - The fashion show of the evening. Every red carpet starlet arrived in Volkswagon Touregs. One after another in an even more spectacular outfit than the next. Well, this IS the Hollywood Style Awards and I wouldn’t expect anything else. Selena Gomez, the youngest and top on the list, in a gorgeous Marchesa bold shouldered black shift to Kelly Osborne showing off her new bod, new hair, and in a stunning jeweled neck blouse and silver platform heals. Also in silver platforms? My fav, Hayden Panettiere. But those were just three of the incredible styles that walked the red carpet. See below for links of my fab interviews!
The Awards Ceremony - Hosted by the Samantha Harris, co-host of Dancing with the Stars, this was the touching part of the evening. The awardees were presented their appointed awards by their best friends, co-stars, and even ex-dance partners. (Click here for winners) The most amazing moment was the brilliant and heartfelt speech by Sophia Bush wearing a one of a kind Max Azria piece. She brought almost a tear to our eye while explaining why Max Arzia is more that just the man behind the brands. He loves and praises women. And to her? He’s family.
The After Party and Gifting Suite - As the after party ensued, celebs, stylists and fans alike shared in cocktails and delicious Wolfgang Puck catering. A relaxed scene, a touch cold, but nothing the Milagro Tequila didn’t fix. And with minutes to spare, I made my way into the gifting suite. With Sponsors like: EXPRESS, Sebastian Professional, and Dawn gifting their goods, plus more goodies from Crash and Burn, Fake Bake, Itty Bitty Bra, and Mark Cosmetics it was hard to leave the room. Me? I was lucky to snag an EXPRESS Necklace and an Itty Bitty Bra silicone petals.
From the red carpet, to the awards ceremony to the gifting suite, to the after party. All in all I’d say this was one stylish evening. Thanks Hollywood Life Magazine! From your Editor-in-Chic... I’ll see you on the streets!
