media release--The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Fort Worth announced the 13th annual Rob Trice Blakewell Panther Club Golf Classic, a benefit event that will be held on Monday, May 10, 2010, at Pecan Valley Golf Course, located at 6400 Pecan Valley Drive in Fort Worth.
Named after the late Rob Blakewell, a Panther Club member and golf chairperson, the Rob Trice Blakewell Panther Club Memorial Golf Tournament is a day of golf, food and fun. The four-player scramble will have a shotgun start at 1:00 p.m. Prizes will be awarded on each course for the top three teams and the worst team of the day. Other activities include a chance to win $1000 on a money board and Panther Poker. There will also be competitions for putting, longest and shortest drive, closest to pin, and accuracy.
Sponsors for the event are Red Carpet Car Wash, Georgetown Rail, Meridian Bank Texas, Andrews Distributing, Coca-Cola, Marvin Electronics and J. Brandt Recognition.
Sponsorships and team openings are still available. Current and past Panther Club teams can register for $600. General registration is $800 per team. All proceeds benefit The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Fort Worth.
