If you’ve been in Portland for the past couple of years you know that “Power of the Purse” is one of the city’s premiere fund raising events for Girl’s Inc. that in four short years, has become one of the community’s most popular and innovative events.
The Power of the Purse event marries Portland’s best purse designers with its most notable leaders, artists and philanthropists for an extraordinary fundraiser. Each purse (seriously each unique work of art), designed especially for local celebrities, is auctioned off during a fashion show in which the models are Girls, Inc. girls … Strong, Smart and Bold!
This year the live auction and dinner will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2009 at the Nines Hotel in Portland.
