Your days are busy rushing off to work, running errands, and chauffeuring the kids around, before you know if you haven't eaten all day. Starving and feeling sluggish, you pull into the nearest drive-thru to order a double cheeseburger, which is convenient but also high in fat, cholesterol and just plain bad for you! Eating healthy can be quite challenging when you are extremely busy, making it nearly impossible to consume all of the proper nutrients that your body needs. Here are 5 healthy snacks that are quick grabs loaded with protein, fiber, vitamins and minerals that will help give you that sustainable boost of energy you need to get through your day.

Off to work: Hard boiled egg with grapefruit in the morning is a well balanced snack that is low in calories, high in protein plus with adding fruit you will also get your vitamins and fiber.

Energy before your workout: Have an apple with 1 ounce serving of almonds. Great source of fiber, protein and you get your daily serving of good fat, which will help boost your energy to get through your workout routine.

Running errands: Grab some trail mix which is fast, easy and loaded with vitamin E, fiber and protein to help give you the energy you need to get daily errands done.

Day of shopping: Grab some pumpkin seeds on the go! Serving size should be about 1/4 cup loaded with plenty of vitamins and magnesium.
