It's wise to round out your lingerie drawer before a big event. Why? This prevents you from running out at the last minute and having to chase down a sales associate who knows how to properly fit you and spending a load of money at one time. Lingerie doesn't come cheap, but if you buy it a little at a time, you'll have a well-rounded drawer of must-have undergarments for every occasion. Remember that color is up to you. 3-5 standard bras - The ideal lingerie drawer needs 3-5 bras that properly fit. Two in nude and one in black or vice-versa depending on your wardrobe choices. These are standard bras with stationary straps and a smooth cups, which can be worn under anything from a seamless T-shirt under suiting to a plain tank top in the summer. If you are near a Nordstrom, it is one of the best places for a bra fitting, as sales associates are trained well and are familiar with the large selection of bras the store carries, so they can find a style that suits your shape and lifestyle best. You want 3-5 standard bras so you don't wear one out too quickly. This is a nice number to keep bras in rotation so they last longer. Always handwash bras in the sink and hang to drip dry, so they keep their shape.
Seamless panties - The style of panties you wear is a more liberal than bras. If you're the type to reach for a polka-dot thong on a daily basis, go for it. You will still need seamless panties for creating a smooth, seamless palette for clingy dresses or skirts. Plus, they're just plain comfortable.
