Vanity Fair just announced their 2009 International Best-Dressed List on August 4, which is set to officially publish in their monumental September issue (a double issue with covers of Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett). Michelle Obama and Anne Hathaway were two well-known ladies topping this year’s best-dressed list. Anne Hathaway seems to have been honing her style for quite a few years, while Michelle Obama only recently jumped onto the radar, but her placement on the list is certainly no surprise after all the fashion buzz she has created. Michelle Obama
From sassy, modern business suits to J.Crew sweater sets, our first lady always steps out looking perfectly put together. Two things that make Michelle Obama stand out: variety and color. Michelle loves dresses, capris, skirts, suits; you name it, she’s got it. She keeps the fashion world guessing by always donning a new getup. Michelle is also no stranger to color, with one of her favorite colors being yellow. Forget boring in black, this first lady shows her personality with bright and bubbly attire. If you’re looking to get a little of Michelle’s look in your own closet, pick up a dress in one of her favorite silhouettes: shift or full-skirt. And don't forget the accessories; Michelle loves flower pins and belts!

Anne Hathaway
Anne Hathaway has come a long way since the days of "The Princess Diaries." As she’s grown in the years since, so has her taste in fashion. This actress epitomizes the word “chic” and takes fashion risks that pay off. Her pale complexion is a feature uniquely “Anne Hathaway” and adds some drama to each red carpet gown she wears. To get a little of Anne Hathaway’s look, try some red lipstick, heavy eyeliner and a flowing chiffon evening dress for a night on the town (oh, and stay out of the sun for a while!).
