Cloud Computing Conference 2009

First thing you may be asking is, what is cloud computing?

Cloud computing which is also referred to as software as a service (Saas) is anything that involves delivery hosted services over the internet.   So, Google.com for example, is one because they will host your spreadsheets and Mac's me.com is another one as it hosts your photos, email, and webpages.  Also,  Facebook and Myspace as they hosts your photos and chatting, etc.

The Cloud Computing Conference on September 9, 2009, will be held at the Del Mar Marriott from 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m..

The topics will be about what’s being done in the cloud today, separating myth from reality, while learning about the cloud’s opportunities and challenges, gaining an overview of the multi-vendor, multi-product cloudscape combined with real-world examples and insightful analysis.  Questions will be answered by the guest speakers, such as: Do you know how the cloud will change the way IT services are delivered within your organization?  What is your impression of the cloud? How will it affect the future of your business? .
The featured speakers are:

John Igoe, Director of Advanced Service Technology in Dell's Services Organization
Peter Coffee, Director of Platform Research for Salesforce.com
Alyssa Henry, Director of Amazon Web Services for Amazon.com
Ned Curic Principal Platform Strategist for Microsoft

You will have the opportunity to interact with the panel and learn firsthand how the cloud has affected their companies.  You can register here.
