
Did you ever stop to think that your job is making you fat? It very well could be! Do you work in a food environment like a restaurant or bakery where you can pick at food all day or where you get discounts on high calorie, high fat meals? If you can't control yourself pack your own lunch. If that does not work, get a new job that does not involve food.
If you work in an office setting where people are always putting out snacks talk to your boss and suggest only low calorie snacks should be allowed. Sitting behind a desk or working in front of a computer all day plus eating those home made cookies Suzie brought in and the leftover party foods from the baby shower of the week is not going to be good for your waistline. You should not be eating anyway. You are paid to work, not munch!
If your job wears you out mentally you are probably too exhausted when you get home to get some exercise. But you need to move! If you sit all day at your job you must make yourself take a short walk during your lunch break then take another one in the evening with your spouse or kids or friend or dog! Just take a walk!

I work in the IT industry and am constantly having to deal with this issue. I sit at my desk all day, so I am not very active. The office environment doesn't help either. People bring in treats, you go to lunch with friends or your day stresses your out. No matter what, you eat and not well.
I suggest bringing in your lunch, this helps you control your intake and saves you money. More importantly, take a lunch time walk! I have been doing it for a few months now and what a difference. Not only does this give you daily exercise but it helps clear your mind for the afternoon.
It's helped me and I think it will help you.
