Sandra Levitin knew she could. So, she did.
Sandra made her mark as a sales executive in the corporate world, but her journey lacked passion. A woman never loses her identity, but she can misplace it if she sets aside her own talents, strengths, passions, desires, imagination, hopes, dreams, spirit and ambitions to care for those she loves. Like so many women, that’s what Sandra had done. Her passion for 15 years had been to create an on-line magazine for women 40+. Losing a dear friend inspired her to pursue that dream. Sandra bowed out of the corporate world and, on November 1, 2008, launched KalönWomen.com, a free on-line membership community for women over 40.
Kalön is an ancient Greek term denoting ideal beauty in the physical and moral sense, total and complete. Sandra Levitin is characteristic of a Kalön woman. She recognized her priorities and acted on them, applying her selfless desire to encourage and empower other 40+ women to search out, reach for and honor their true potential.
Turning 40 is usually the pivotal point in a woman’s life when she suddenly steps back to reflect on the little girl with the big dreams of becoming a teacher, a mommy, an astronaut, an artist.
