Get your romance on with Jane Porter

Flirting with Forty
Source: www.janeporter.com

Last month I had the pleasure of attending a brunch with Jane Porter, local author of Flirting with Forty, which was turned into a Lifetime movie starring Heather Locklear.  Jane has written 30 books, including 5 modern lit books like Flirting with Forty and over 20 classic romance novels.

Over a brunch arranged by sales guru Lori Richardson, Jane let a dozen lucky women in on some of the highlights of filming, advice for struggling writers, and shared personal stories about her life as a single mom in a somewhat long-distance relationship.

Jane Porter could be the most interesting person I've met recently, and I meet a lot of people.  She met her partner, whom she calls Surfer Ty, while researching the book, and her unconventional life seems fit for its own television show, one I would be sure to watch.

She has a great blog where you can find out more about her, the craft of writing, and life of an artist and mom.

Many of you may have read about her last year when the movie came out, and for those that missed it you can see the movie this Valentine's Day on Lifetime at 7 pm.

For more info: Check out her website for details on all her books, and to find out more about Jane read her excellent blog.  Tune in on February 14 at 7 pm to watch Flirting with Forty.

Jane is very interesting, I agree. She is not only talented, she beautiful inside and out.

I agree, Marilyn. Whoever thinks beautiful people don't work hard hasn't met Jane.
