On Thursday, September 2nd wine enthusiasts can tweet about Cabernet Sauvignon. The event takes place from 12:01 am until 11:55 pm PDT, however since it will already be Thursday in parts of the world on Wednesday our time, one really has two days to tweet about Cabernet Sauvignon.
How will others see your Cab tweet? Add the hashtag #Cabernet to your tweet. Then follow #Cabernet during the week especially on Wednesday and Thursday. While tweeting, check out what others from around the world have to say about perhaps the king of wines.
What should you tweet? You do not have to tweet tasting notes or wine profiles. Simply write the name of the wine including the winery or producer and make a statement about it. Your statement can be if you liked it or not. Or your tweet could include the price of the wine. Perhaps you could write what you are eating while drinking the Cab.
There have been several wine tastings on Twitter. They have a tendency to bring the world a little closer especially if those who tweet like the topic. Wine tastings have been done before. Some of the most successful tweetups are organized by Rick Bakas, Director of Social Media at St. Supery Winery.
