The grand opening of Magnanimus Wine Group at Campovida will take place on Saturday, August 7th from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. Magnanimus makes wines under four labels. On the day of the grand opening they will be offering wines from their green portfolio. Along with wine tastings, visitors can tour the gardens, enjoy food and music and observe local artwork by painter Jack Stuppin and artisan furniture craftsman Tom Boek. Jack Stuppin is known for his oil paintings of Northern California landscapes. Tom Boek is known for using reclaimed wood to craft furniture. Travelers to Campovida can learn what the site has to offer.
Campovida purchased and renamed the former Fetzer Valley Oaks Food and Wine Center. The 51-acre property, which originally opened in 1983, hosted legendary chefs Emeril Lagasse and Julia Child. For the past several years, the site was unoccupied. Campovida means “field of life” and plans to restore the farm, gardens and culinary center. Magnanimus Wines has a tasting room in one of the buildings on the property. In addition to wine-related events, Campovida offers guided garden tours, as well as a venue for weddings and private gatherings.
Magnanimus Wine Group's tasting room at Campovida is located in Hopland, California about a two-hour drive from airports in San Francisco and Oakland. It is less than a three-hour drive from Sacramento.
