Silicon Valley’s new San Jose airport, through special arrangements with TSA, invites registered persons from the community to visit on Saturday and Sunday, June 26 and 27. The Open House runs from 10am to 5pm on Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sunday.
Only visitors who have pre-registered by June 23rd may attend and must go through the security checkpoint in Terminal B, complying with the same regulations that apply to travelers. Free parking is available for visitors who present a registration confirmation to the attendant in the new Airport Rental Car Center across the street from Terminal B.
Local purveyors of microbrews and wines take up residence at the new airport
The Santa Cruz Mountains Winegrowers Association has been working closely with airport food and beverage officials for many months during the planning stages of the new airport. The Santa Cruz Wine Bar in Terminal B will feature the premium wines of the Santa Cruz Mountains.
During this weekend's open house, the wines of Clos LaChance of San Martin will be available. Clos LaChance is a family-owned winery specializing in Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from the Santa Cruz Mountains, as well as Rhone and Bordeaux varietals from their Estate vineyards.
Many more premium Santa Cruz wines will be featured in the weeks and months to come.
