The Brown Palace Hotel & Spa – It is hard to find a place in town that is more spectacularly festive than the gorgeous Atrium Lobby of this historic grand hotel, decorated for the holidays with dramatic beading, lights, and greenery. Sip a glass of Champagne during Traditional Afternoon Tea, daily from 12pm-4pm, or enjoy a glass of your favorite wine during cocktail hour, 4pm-8pm, in the Atrium Lobby. Savor the Dom Perignon Brunch at Ellyngton’s on Sundays from 10am-2pm, where your choice of Champagne determines the price. The Brown Palace has a number of bar-restaurants where you can get a great glass of wine or spirits. Churchill Bar is a cigar bar known for its extensive menu of vodka, Scotch, tequila, and premium wine and spirits. Ship Tavern is a pub that pours more than 20 wines by the glass. Palace Arms, the hotel's fine-dining establishment, offers more than 20 wines are available by the glass, 40 by the half-bottle, and 1,000 by the bottle, magnum, and imperial. The Brown Palace is located in Denver at 321 17th Street, at Tremont Street and Broadway.
Corridor 44: Champagne, Cocktails, Dining – With the lights of Larimer Square outside and bubbles pouring inside, Denver’s only Champagne bar is an inherently festive place to be this time of year. Sit in the window seat and sip Champagne as you take in the people, horse-drawn carriages, and buzz of Larimer Square. Corridor 44 offers 16 Champagnes by the glass, 10 splits, 11 half-bottles, 37 bottles of Champagne, 10 bottles of prestige Champagne, and 11 bottles of Grower Champagne. They offer four flights of Champagne and a selection of Champagne cocktails. Other offerings include wines by the glass and bottle, cocktails, sparkling martinis, and draft and bottled beer. The menu of bar snacks includes oysters on the half shell, smoked salmon caviar chips, mussels, fried calamari, escargot, grilled asparagus, and pomegranate-lamb lollipops. Happy Hour specials are offered Monday-Friday from 4pm-6pm and include $4 Champagne cocktails, house Champagne, and well drinks. Corridor 44 is located in Denver’s Larimer Square at 1433 Larimer, on Larimer Street between 14th and 15th streets.
Delizio's Café and Wine Bar – Downtown Littleton is aglow with lights this time of year. With a Main Street storefront, Delizio's Café and Wine Bar is no exception. Located at the far east end of Main Street, it occupies an historic site that was once a general store, then saloon, and finally Sommers Service Station. Delizio's occupies the old service station building. The dining room was once the “grease pit,” while the kitchen was originally a portico-covered filling station. Today Delizio's offers 20 wines by the glass and over 60 by the bottle. You are invited to create your own flight by choosing three wines to taste. Delizio's is committed to organic wine and food. Their menu includes baked goods, many of them gluten-free, as well as full menus for lunch and dinner. Delizio's is open daily from 9am to close. Delizio's is located in Littleton at 2299 West Main Street.
Flights WineCafe – From the cozy way this wine bar is tucked against a canyon wall, to the holiday lights and fireplaces that welcome you at either entrance, you are encouraged to settle in for a comfortable evening. Flights WineCafe is in a cottage built in 1870 that was once a boarding house, part of a tent city for miners and railroad workers. Today it is a delightful retreat complete with winning combinations of wine and food. Along with an array of light eats and tapas, live music is often on the menu. Recently a harpist played Christmas music while a packed house enjoyed more than 40 wines by the glass, 60 by the bottle, or by the flight. There is a First-Class Flight where you can choose three wines to try, or follow their recommendations in the four flights they have designed. Flights WineCafe is open Tuesday through Thursday from 3pm-9pm or later, and Friday and Saturday from 11am-11pm. Flights WineCafe is located in Morrison at 116 Stone Street.
Sienna Wine Bar & Small Plates lights up the street. Its golden good cheer invites you inside, where a full menu of wines – including Champagne and sparkling wines – awaits, with a fun menu of small plates to delight. The décor captures the moment between day and night when the light is golden and the sky is already dark, and everything is beautiful. The bar’s blue rear wall and ceiling are designed to capture that moment, as are all of the sienna-tinted objects, many of them antiques from the 1930s-1970s. Sienna Wine Bar offers six Champagnes and sparkling wines by the glass, one by the split, and 12 by the bottle, as well as flights of sparkling and rosé sparkling wine. In addition to Champagne and sparkling wine, choose from more than 30 wines by the glass and 50 by the bottle. Sienna Wine Bar opens daily at 3pm, with Happy Hour from 3pm-6pm and all day Sunday.
