President Barack Obama will visit Connecticut October 23 to help raise money for Senator Christopher Dodd’s reelection campaign. However, a location has yet to be divulged for the fundraiser.
Today, Obama is in his hometown of Chicago, Illinois, as the Olympic Committee will be determining the site of the 2016 games. The front-runners to host are Chicago and Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.
Also today, Senator Dodd is preparing for the national release of Oscar-winning director Michael Moore’s latest film, “Capitalism: A Love Story”, as he plays one of the lead roles. Moore focuses his latest project upon America’s collapsing economy over the last several years, including Dodd himself, who grew harsh criticism for the AIG bonus scandal and the VIP Mortgage program from Countrywide Financial Corp., although he was later exonerated from any wrongdoing by an ethics committee.
