Bryce Taylor is a member of the LinkedIn group Interactive Fitness and Exergame Network. Bryce is also a physical therapist who promotes a special brand of rehabilitation he has termed wii-hab. After working with the Balance Board he discovered, as has many others in this profession, that it is an excellent tool to use for patients and it improves compliance with performing prescribed exercises.

  • The primary objective of this group is to connect experts, researchers and professionals in the active gaming and interactive fitness industry with health professionals, educators and other interested parties. Interactive technologies are being used in schools, offices, homes and gyms across the globe for health and fitness and represent the largest growth sector of both the video game industry and the fitness industry. Video game rehabilitation, especially through the platform of the Wii, is gaining recognition and respect. Other specialists are spreading the word of the Wii's effectiveness in many areas of rehabilitation, including back, knee, ankle, brain, balance and more.

Notice in the video how the Wii Fit game is being modified to serve a distinct purpose (rehabilitation) rather than just playing for the score. Wii fitness players are encouraged to think 'out the box' and experiment with the many ways to modify Wii fitness play to achieve your health goals.
