Help... my Wii balance board isn't working!

The Wii balance board is an electronic device, and like other devices, it may decide to be a little finicky sometimes. If you are having trouble with your balance board, there are possible simple solutions to try that may work for you.

The first thing to do is make sure you are in a balance board compatible game. Your balance board will not go if you are not already in the game. So for instance if you turn on your Wii, but you have not clicked "start" to begin your fitness game, the balance board light may only flash on and off, but not completely turn on.

If the balance board does not seem to be reading your movements properly, then the batteries may be low. Wii Fit Plus will give you a low battery warning, but you may not be as lucky with other Wii fitness games. A simple way to check your battery life while you are in the game is to press the home (the picture of the little house) button. You will see the battery life indicators along the bottom. Your balance board will probably show up as number 4.

Lastly, you may need to sync the balance board with the Wii. Turn your balance board over and remove the battery lid. Next, on the Wii, open the door on the front of the console. In each compartment is a small red button. Push the red button on the Wii console, then on the Wii balance board. You may see the blue light flash for a moment, then hopefully it will turn on. If it does not turn on right away, be sure to enter a balance board compatible game before attempting to turn on the balance board. You may need to repeat the procedure a couple times for it to work.

Hopefully one of these solutions will solve your balance board problem. Good luck!
