Break a workout plateau by turning things upside down. Or around and around.

Vertical Fitness, a breakthrough fitness class, is now being held at Larry North Fitness - Highland Park Village (click here for map). The best part? The class is free on Tuesday, July 28 at 10:30 AM.

Vertical Fitness, also known as pole dancing, incorporates "sensual and exotic dance moves, stretching, floor work, learning to walk around the pole, using momentum properly, hip movements, different grips on the pole, basic spins" and more, says the Vertical Fitness website.

"At the end of this level," the class is described. "A simple, sexy easy to learn choreographed routine will help you show off all your new moves."

According to others, you'll be showing off more. CNN.com reports Angela Edwards, a nurse in Atlanta, as saying the class has worked "muscles she didn't know she had." Edwards said, "We have women who come in here 40-50 pounds overweight and they drop it in about six to eight months...You see good results."

Do you want to see what they see? Bring a friend and enjoy a free Vertical Fitness class at Larry North Fitness. If you can't make the free demo, visit www.larrynorth.com or call 214.526.6784 for additional class times.

It's called pole dancing. Stop pretending that strippers didn't invent it.

Actually, strippers didn't invent it. However, they did make it extremely infamous,
but it truly is an amazing workout, and why let negativity towards PEOPLE that dance keep the workout from other people. It's not meant as a sexual show, and is only looked at as that because people choose to see it that way.
