With the great success of the Cash for Clunkers program endorsed by Uncle Sam, a Dallas dentist is taking the program local by offering new dollars for old dentures.
"When I saw how wildly successful the Cash for Clunkers program was for car dealers, I began thinking about what I could do to boost business," says Dr. Gary Solomon. "Something tells me there's no government money available to help dentists, so I decided to create my own stimulus package."
Starting today the Dallas dentist is offering a $250 rebate to anyone who comes in with old dentures and wants new ones.
"The recession has taken a toll on teeth," says Dr. Solomon. "People are putting off dental care in general and there are a lot of people walking around with dentures that really need to be remade. They're old and often don't look natural. I'm hoping this Cash for Chompers program is something people can really sink their teeth into."
