Weight Watchers, never one to rest on its success with millions of successful dieters, is tweaking its program coming Sunday. The new plan is called Momentum -- something everyone wants when they're losing weight. What's the biggest change? This is from an e-mail:
For those who have followed Weight Watchers in the past, you will notice that we no longer have two food plans to choose from. We have combined many of the best aspects of our previous plans to create a single, great plan. A stronghold of the Momentum plan is that the awareness you get from tracking what you eat and drink puts you in better control. But we understand that tracking is not for all people, and have therefore created an alternative way of following the Plan. Talk to your Leader to teach you about our Simply Filling technique.
Upshot: Flex and Core are gone, replaced with this single Momentum plan. I'll have more info next week but it seems like Weight Watchers wants its members to make better food choices. Thirty points of nacho cheese rice cakes is not the same as 30 points of healthy, filling, nutritious foods.
