Paula Abdul lights up the American Music
Awards red carpet Sunday night.
Backstage at Sunday night's American Music Awards, former American Idol judge Paula Abdul revealed how she looked so fantastic in her black Enzoani mermaid gown and jewelry of her own design.
"I've had the ability to have some time to actually have a schedule that allows me to take care of myself and dance and workout," Abdul said during the press conference. "It's been great, but now I'm back to work."
There's also that stress-cortisol connection. Being under a lot of stress can release more cortisol into the bloodstream and cause weight gain, especially as women hit their 40s. Releasing that stress, through exercise, dance or not being under a constant media microscope, can do wonders for a body.
Don't really know whether there was any discernible weight loss but the 47-year-old is definitely looking rested, fit and happy.

Time. It is our greatest asset when it comes to reaching one's goals. Paula's quote is testament, "I've had the ability to have some time to actually have a schedule that allows me to take care of myself and dance and workout."
