Oh, the lengths some people will go to lose weight. NPR is reporting that Hong Kong health officials are warning people not to use products containing worms that some are hawking as weight-loss diets.
(Come to think of it, hawks are one of the few creatures that should be eating worms.)
There is nothing to support a parasite infestation for weight loss, Hong Kong health authorities say.
OK, put down your latte and hold your breath -- this is gross:
The "diets" use the eggs of Ascaris worms, giant intestinal roundworms which grow up to 15 inches long in a host's intestine and lay up to 200,000 more eggs a day inside the body.
I'm not even going to run the photo because it's thoroughly nauseating ... wait a minute ... there's the weight-loss solution ... looking at photos of intestinal worms!
The British newspaper The Telegraph reports that clinics and Web sites in Hong Kong offer a ridiculous assortment of weight loss methods, including sweat-inducing body suits, injections with suspect fat-dissolving solutions and -- get this -- flammable paraffin wraps to literally burn off belly fat.

Makes you wonder what happened to common sense and simply dieting and exercise.
Un-freakin-real.
How about, "STOP EATING SO MUCH!"
