Tonight's Biggest Loser: Where Are They Now special won't include the very first winner of the reality competition, Ryan C. Benson.
In 2005, the actor lost 122 pounds and won the NBC reality competition, which has gone on to include eight seasons, over 200 participants and a line of appliances, DVDs, books and exercise equipment.
Benson, in past interviews, had admitted to fasting and dehydrating himself to attain his winning numbers, a practice that NBC now says is closely monitored by the show, the New York Times reports.
Benson used to have a Web site devoted to his weight loss and healthy lifestyle but that has been replaced by a placeholder directing people to his MySpace page, which really hasn't been updated much but does mention that he has regained some weight.
But there was one important project he was a part of -- the movie Disfigured, which came out last year but was shot in 2006, so his weight regain happened pretty quickly. In it, he plays the boyfriend of an obese woman who strikes up a friendship with a recovering anorexic. The independent film, which was featured in many film festivals last year, tackles the subjects of body image, obesity, anorexia, love, dieting, exercise and weight-loss surgery (whew!).
