Koli Palu might not have made it to the Biggest Loser season 9 finale but he may have won a biggest prize by staying in the competition for the at-home prize, which he won, beating Darrell.
Koli started the competition at 403 pounds and made it to 188, a total loss of 215 pounds, winning the at-home prize with a loss of 53.35 percent of body weight.
Aside from Melissa Morgan, Koli was probably the most prize-driven contestant, repeatedly saying that he envisioned the finale confetti flying over his head.
He may not have won the grand prize but the $100K is nothing to sneeze at, as is his tremendous weight loss.

Mike did... even though Koli should have... Koli lost 53.35% of his body weight and Mike lost just over 50%...

Koli was rude, just plan rude!! nevedr has a contestant acted like that.
what was wrong with Koli last night? He seemed like he was trying to shrink into the floor and escape.
I can't stand Koli. I think he did a great job losing the weight, but he is sooo annoying. I know he said don't take my confidence as being cocky, but he is cocky. You can be confident without acting like that. He always talked about how he never watched the show, but he was going to do better than the other Tongan guys who were on the show before and blah blah blah! I LOVED Sam, I thought he wa awesome, but Koli, he bugged me! I wanted him gone. I voted for Daris from every phone I could, the max number of times and I had everyone I could vote for him too!!! :) Michael won, he bugged me at first, but I liked him towards the end. This was the season with the most annoying people on it!! There several who were really cool, but many were just annoying!
The reason I didn't care for Michael in the beginning was because he kept saying stuff about breaking records and blah blah blah, but he was the biggest guys...the biggest guy EVER on the show, of course you are going to break some records dude! He did do a great job in the end!
Brooke and Paul (from other comment boards) both of you hit the nail on the head regarding Koli...he may NEVER get it!!!
