Biggest Loser discussion: Would you rather?
The contestants were in a celebratory mood since they exceeded their 150-pound weight loss goal and no one went home.
Ali greeted the teams at the gym with the first of many choices: Would you rather have your trainers or a 2-pound advantage at the weigh-in? If they don’t take the 2 pounds, the stakes go up. Purple team Tracey jumped the line, much to Coach Mo’s dismay.
Bob and Jillian were none too pleased that the purple team took the 2 pounds. Said Jillian of Tracy: “Not the brightest bulb.” The trainers chalked it up to fear and panic and told Tracey that.
Abby found out that she has a micro-stress fracture in her tibia, which has happened to quite a few contestants in the past. They usually come from overdoing it, and yes, five hours of working out when you’ve been inactive would count as overdoing it. Abby was discouraged but vowed to fight on. And fight on she does with Yoplait Light yogurt! (Product-placement time. My favorite? Key lime).
Ali gave them another choice in the temptation: Would you rather control your diet or control the game? Only one person will represent the teams at the weigh-in, and the winner of the temptation gets to make that choice. What did they have to do? Eat more 100-calorie cupcakes than anyone else.
Quote of the week, from Rebecca: “Damn you, sprinkles!”
Antoine ate the first cupcake. Then Tracey decided she was in it to win it, so she started stuffing her face. Antoine struck back with more cupcake goodness. Tracey beat him 4 cupcakes to 2.
It seems that Tracey has been labeled the wackadoodle of the group. And people are afraid of what she’s going to decide at the scale. Bob was hoping that no one took the temptation, and while he was saying that, Tracey was making with the crazy eyes. When Tracey was uncovered as the Cupcake Queen, Jillian wanted to throttle her.
“I think this girl’s crazy. I think she’s bananas – She’s B-A-N-A-N-A-S,” Jillian said. “And she is getting in the way of healing for these people.” Bob has no patience for gameplay: “Game players get fat again. Sorry! That’s what happens.”
We then learned a new workout from Jillian – the sledgehammer. All you need is a monster truck tire and a sledgehammer! Danny got to partake.
The challenge: They had to schlep weights up a ramp but got to choose whether they wanted to carry 5 pounds at a time from a shorter distance or 25 pounds at a longer distance. The winner gets immunity. Allen from the green team won, and did it solo because Abby was injured.
Last-chance workout: Lots of whining and pleading. Then the wheeling and dealing went on with Empress “Crazy Eyes” Tracey. People were asking whether she would choose them to represent their team. Tracey also was concerned that her team would go below the yellow line and asked the pink team that if it came to that, who would they choose to go home?
Weigh-in and elimination: Jillian was giving Coach Mo crap for supporting her loose cannon teammate and told him that he needed to look out for his best interest instead of being the good teammate. Green team had immunity, so they were jazzed. Rudy hit a milestone and got below 400 pounds. He’s also down an astounding 54 pounds in three weeks. Pink team had asked Tracey to choose Rebecca to weigh in and she promptly chose Amanda.
(America, we have our Biggest Loser villain!)
Read on, but first, take a poll!
Tracey pulled the same bait and switch on the orange team, choosing Shay to weigh in. And while she lost 6 pounds, it wasn’t enough to stay above the yellow line. Evil Tracey (she’ll be Evil Tracey until she redeems herself) lost 11 pounds but no one was jumping up and down for her.
So red team (Antoine and Sean) and orange team (Shay and Daniel) were up for elimination. Shay made a powerful argument to stay, and Antoine knew he couldn’t compete with that. So red team, knowing that they had strong support at home, sacrificed themselves for the orange team. What a couple of sweethearts! So when it came time to vote, everyone complied and sent red team home. And with Sean gone, we’ve lost a lot of great one-liners.
The update: Since leaving the ranch, Sean is down 120 pounds. And did you see that he and his wife are going to name their new baby Jillian? Antoine is down 105 pounds and hitting the gym with his new girlfriend Alexandra (yes, Alexandra, who was eliminated in week 1). Awwww, sweet.
Next week: More hatin’ on Evil Tracey, who apparently gets hit with the karma stick.
What’s that they say about karma?

The CRAZYCAKES train has pulled into the BL station! OMG. What a WHACKJOB! Should have figured there were a few screws loose that first episode when she was cursing and panting that first mile before she fell and got sent to the hospital. What totally killed me is that she was sitting there bugged out "crazy eyes" and was trying to justify that she wasn't doing anything wrong! I thought Jillian was going to rip her face off! Must of killed Jillian to have to stand next to Crazy during that weigh-in!
Anyhoo.. that being said, Sean and Antoine are absolutely amazing. They are both looking great! And as I knew, Antoine & Alexandra are absolutely adorable together! How cute are Sean's kids? And how sweet they are going to name their baby girl Jillian! Love it!
I was a great episode filled with all the dram we come to expect from BL. Tracy is really off her rockers and I feel sorry for her. She missed a whole week to bond with the others and maybe that's it. No, wait, she's just nuts! After the first time, okay, chalk it up to impulsive thinking and making a mistake. But teh second time?? I was blown away by her. Gameplayers NEVER win (even if they win the prize, they are no winners in my book). Poor Coach Mo. He was right to support his teammate, what other choice could he do??
I feel sorry for Coach Mo, too. He doesn't deserve a total nutjob for a partner.
Also... what was it Bob said? "Gameplayers regain the weight" or get fat again.. or something to that effect.
Note: There's no resemblance between me and player Tracey, thank God -- including how we spell the name!
That said, we do need to keep in mind that the editing has a lot to do with how we perceive things -- and the BL producers realized a while back that a good "villain" ALWAYS ups the viewership!
I mean, Tracey had a good point when she defended herself during the elimination, saying that, regardless of how it happened, TWO teams were going below the yellow line, and one had to go home ...
Good summary. Tracey was chosen by the producers to be the bad girl this year. She has acting ability and all the others are dullards.
Your take on Antoine and the youth minister is good. They could not compete with the ghetto stuff so they went all high minded. I think they just wanted out.
I think Tracey is determined to win but didn't think it a big deal whe she chose Amanda to weigh-in. I would have too, considering when she posed the question to Rebecca as to whether they would not vote for her if she was up for elimination, Rebecca promptly said, uh, I can't say I won't write your name down. Lol, but she signed her warrant right there. Secondly, come on, she is also probably worried about whether she and Mo will make it too so she is trying to guarantee it by making sure that there are people who might fall below them. It's not rocket science seeing as how she already screwed her and Mo by choosing the 2 pounds over the trainers.
