How to get the bridesmaids dresses from the Gossip Girl royal wedding

If you are wondering how to have your bridesmaids wear the dresses from the Gossip Girl royal wedding, this is how! I found out about the dresses. Lucky for you there are places in Charlotte where you can get the dress!

The bridesmaid dress to have is in the White collection by Vera Wang at David’s Bridal. The dress is a short, one-shoulder organza dress with a bias-cut flange skirt accented with a waist-slimming elastic belt. The dress is VW630012 for $198 at David’s Bridal. It comes in amethyst, blush, charcoal, ebony, ivory, midnight, moss, orchid, and VW champagne. There are two David’s Bridal locations in Charlotte, with an additional location in Winston Salem.

If you want to have Serena's maid of honor dress, you can get that from Vera Wang. The dress is style Farrah. The dress is a one shoulder soft modified mermaid gown with hand painted organza and metallic tulle with corset bodice and blossom flange skirt. There is one location in Charlotte that carries Vera Wang bridal wear in Phillips Place.

According to www.refinery29.com: Is there anything surprising that you have included maybe from major retailers that our readers could afford that we would be surprised to find out has made its way into the show? "I think kind of the most surprising thing that we've done this season is for the 100th episode which is the wedding episode that the bridesmaids are actually wearing Vera Wang's line for David's Bridal which is called White. It was important to me to have that accessibility to kind of create this royal wedding and all this drama, but I knew we were doing a lot of interviews and I really think it's important to have our viewers at home feel like it's actually something accessible. I think when people are going into weddings and going through all that Bridezilla craziness that sometimes it's hard to remember that you can do affordable things and, you know, style it and make it look fabulous."

According to www.wetpaint.com: Was it difficult to choose who would do Blair’s wedding dress? Did many designers clamor to be the name attached to her gown? Eric Daman: Yes, we were wooed by quite a few big name designers. But a large part of Blair’s story is that she’s an American Princess, an Upper East Side princess if you will. So I really wanted an American designer that also had a couture edge. Vera Wang was the obvious match for Blair. Her name and her designs are iconic.

What makes a dress unique enough for Blair Waldorf? When I went to Vera’s showroom I was immediately struck by the first dress, the one you see when Blair does her fitting. But then I found the second dress and that felt perfect for Blair, too. Those are the dresses I wanted to see her in IF and WHEN she walks down the aisle. The first is a total princess dress, which is perfect considering Blair is supposed to marry a prince. The second is more delicate - it’s regal and old-worldly. Both of them have that craftsmanship that Vera is famous for. They’re handmade and they took hours and hours and hours to make. They’re both very special and unique.

How about the bridesmaids’ dresses? I wanted to keep the whole bridal party in Vera Wang. The bridesmaids’ dresses are actually Vera Wang for David’s Bridal. There will be so many eyes on this wedding and it was important to me that viewers at home see that you can have a beautiful wedding and still keep it affordable. These dresses were dyed peony for us, but they come in other beautiful shades in the store.

According to www.brides.com: The 100th episode of Gossip Girl is fast approaching and show lovers have been anticipating what Queen B's stylish set will wear to her royal wedding. While we already knew that Blair is cloaked in an all-white Vera Wang gown, new photos show her bridesmaids following suit in the same designer. Maid-of-honor Serena van der Woodsen (aka Blake Lively) chooses a romantic cream tulle dress with an asymmetrical neckline from Vera Wang's Spring 2011 collection while the other bridesmaids step into short dresses from the designer's cheaper line, White by Vera Wang, available at David's Bridal.

According to www.lovelywanderlust.com: The 100th episode of Gossip Girl on January 19th, 2012 and the episodes leading up to it feature a partnership with Vera Wang  whose dresses grace the shoulders of the bride Blair, her maid of honor Serena, and the bridesmaids. Speaking to the point of design integrity: "All the dresses Vera and I [Eric Daman] decided on for the Royal Wedding are incredibly gorgeous! The higher end couture dresses mix beautifully with the dresses for the bridesmaids which come from Vera's line at David's Bridal. The elegance and integrity is admirable and goes to show you if you know you want it, you can find it out there, and Vera Wang has an amazing set of options that are incredibly accessible!" Blair's minions will each be dressed in a short, one-shoulder organza dress with a bias-cut flange skirt accented with a waist-slimming elastic belt from Wang's more affordable line for David's Bridal, White by Vera Wang.
