Luckily the snow that Portland received last week melted in time for the Art of Weddings showcase at Pure Space in the Pearl District. Did you try the amazing food, drinks, and treats at the event? To die for! Crave Catering had me at the first bite. Rafati’s Catering was pairing drinks with fantastic appetizers. The drinks included fresh ginger, blackberry, craft beer and more. Le Cookie Monkey was making it very difficult to say no to the amazing treats they had spread out (I devoured the chocolate mint cookie). Did you get a chance to swing by the Grooms List area at the event?
If you were a VIP ticket holder you were able to have the best seats at the fashion show and got some fabulous gifts from participating wedding vendors. Holland Studios provided beautiful glasses, there were some amazing product samples from Arbonne, and the Wedding Lounge included a lovely relaxing kit with some tea and amazing chocolate and candy that is vegan and organic from SJ Desserts.
The atmosphere was elegant, the pipe & drape was beautiful, and the lighting was perfect. Many brides took their seat to see the highly anticipated fashion show. Charlotte’s Weddings had some amazing gowns and Stella and Dot had amazing jewelry! Portland is unique and these dresses showcased the Portland bride in a wonderful way. I heard many ohhh’s and awwwws! Alexis Turk the producer of The Art of Weddings stated, "We had 200 + guests come through the event and over fifty vendors. The event still maintained an intimate feel and this was the first year we added The Groom's List men's lounge."
