Bonita Parker started Elegant Exposé, LLC two years ago after working in the event planning industry for over 12 years. With a little push from friends and family, she decided to venture out on her own and start Elegant Exposé, LLC. She now heads up the three-women team based out of Waldorf, MD.
What style of weddings do you specialize in?
We specialize in more traditional weddings, however, we can accommodate just about any style of wedding.
What size weddings have you coordinated?
To date, the largest wedding we have coordinated contained a guest list of approximately 225 people with a bridal party of 14.
What will you take care of -- finding vendors? Invitations? Favors?
Elegant Expose', LLC is a full-service event planning company. We handle EVERYTHING from favors to wardrobe coordination to vendor negotiations. Anything related to your wedding is in our hands!

Can you work with my budget?
We have been known to work with budgets of ALL amounts. I believe that just about any budget can be worked with as long as the client is willing to be open-minded and compromise, and the planner takes full advantage of the resources that she has available to her.
How far will you travel?
At this time, my services extend throughout the Washington Metropolitan area.
How accessible are you? How often do you expect to meet with the
bride?
I always give my brides both my home and cell phone numbers to use ANY time they need to contact me. As far as meetings go, after my initial consultation, I am with my bride every step of the way - venue go-sees, wardrobe shopping, etc.

Why do you do what you do?
Having been a bride myself, I know how challenging (and sometimes frustrating) it can be to plan a wedding. Most bridal couples today work full-time jobs and have things going on in their personal lives that take time away from planning a wedding. Since I know about these challenges and time constraints, I can empathize with couples in this position. I enjoy planning and coordinating and all that comes with it. No bride should be stressed out at such an important time in her life, and my job is to ensure that she is relieved from that.
What inspires you?
It's simple -- I am a hopeless romantic! I am inspired by love. I love "love" and all that it represents. To me, nothing says "I love you" more than two people exchanging vows and becoming one.
Give one tip/suggestion for brides looking for your services.
I always suggest to my brides, and any one in the process of planning a wedding, to always devise a budget maximum and stick to it, especially in today's economy. My motto is that extraordinary events do not have to cost a ton! It is so easy to get carried away in the moment of planning your wedding that we sometimes lose sight of what's coming out of our pockets. So rather than cut things out later, make every effort to stick to your magic number. As a planner & budget specialist, I do everything possible to ensure that my clients stay well within their budget and still get the bells & whistles.
