Anything you want, you’ve got it.
That’s seems to be the motto of AMS Entertainment, a disc jockey company headquartered in Albany. And those words are something that brides especially like to hear when it comes to planning their wedding day.
“If they want me to be low key, I will let them know I will just do their formalities and be as quiet as a church mouse,” said Tim Wedeman, owner of the Albany AMS Entertainment. “Interactive? Sure, just tell me what you want.”
AMS Entertainment is a national franchise headquartered in Santa Barbara, California with branches in several parts of the country.
Wedeman has been the owner of the Albany AMS Entertainment since 2000.
While Wedeman first began his career in the radio business, he quickly transitioned into his true calling and passion. Wedeman works as a DJ in several different assets. Not only is he a DJ for weddings around the Albany area and beyond he also does music for private parties, happy hours and benefits.
“I knew early on this was something I wanted to do, now owning a music based business is great,” Wedeman said.
Currently Wedeman is doing about 30 weddings a year. The Wedding Wire Bride’s Choice Awards recently voted Albany AMS Entertainment as one of the “best of” in their category. Winners of the Bride’s Choice Awards are selected as a result reviews done by the brides themselves. It is an award based on the quality of their service and their professionalism, and of course, how much their brides liked what they got out of their day.
“It is our first award and we are very proud of it,” Wedeman said.
Bride’s won’t regret hiring AMS Entertainment for their wedding day. Just check out Wedeman’s testimonial page if you need reasons why to hire his DJ services for your special day.
Wedeman’s goal is to make the day as perfect as possible for his clients. He works with brides and grooms before the wedding day to plan a song list. He finds out what types of music best suit the day to help make guests enjoy the evening, boogie it up on the dance floor and just have a great night.
“We offer brides superior service,” Wedeman said. “I want them to feel comfortable. A wedding is a very personal event. You are building a rapport with the bride, getting to know them, their friends and family.”
Wedeman has also been donating his services since the early 90s to the local Relay for Life events hosted by the American Cancer Society. This is an overnight 24 hour event in which teams of people join together and take turns walking or running around a designated path as a way to raise money and awareness. It is a non-stop event, and so are the teams that participate. According to the American Cancer Society’s web site, this event takes place overnight “because cancer never sleeps”.
“Cancer runs in my and my wife’s family…Great cause,” Wedeman said.
Confident in his work, Wedeman has created a page on his website to showcase his services in action. Click here and check it out.
