bing vs. Google
Some day when statues of Bills Gates will be seen in Second Life plazas, we will remember the Internet War of 2009. Microsoft simply stopped too often for tea--It's a revised tortoise/hare fable.
When Microsoft released the search engine "Bing" in late May, it was not the first time Google's engine had been challenged to a jousting match--But it was the first time the rookie (in this case, Bing) had enough resources to win someday (maybe).
At its release, Microsoft claimed that Bing gives higher quality results and has better functionality when searching. --It also tries to avoid spanning results out to more than five pages.
At this, Google yawned.
So how to know who is really better? Try Bing vs. Google-- it searches from both engines simultaneously and compares all of the results. I tried it with my name. I have declared a winner, but the journalist in me refuses to share opinion.
All I will say is that... Google is drinking pina coladas on the beach in Costa Rica. In a hammock.
