For the first time since his Thanksgiving weekend accident and subsequent reports of multiple marital infidelities, 1997 GTE Byron Nelson Classic and 14 time major championship winner, Tiger Woods will break his silence this morning with a 11 a.m. ET press conference at the TPC Sawgrass Golf Course located in Ponte Vedra Beach in Florida. Reportedly the event will consist of a small group of friends, colleagues and close associates, with Woods expected to apologize for his indiscretions and discuss his plans for the future.
Worldwide interest in the Woods story is massive to say the least, with tens, if not hundreds, of millions of people expected to watch the event live. If you, like most of the country, will be working during the early morning press conference, and cannot watch it on television, you still have options to stream it live online. You can watch the event live on Ustream, via the company’s partner CBS News, and on YouTube.
The Ustream feed is expected to attract millions of viewers. Ustream’s Social Media Integration, which broadcasts chat messages to Twitter, Facebook, Myspace and more, will no doubt drive those previously unaware of the coverage, to the site as viewers react to Tiger’s statement.
