Wednesday, May 19th, Major automobile brand General Motors 2011 Chevy Cruze, 2005 World Series Champion Chicago White Sox Sox and a non-profit Dream’s for Kids who's mission is making sure all children feel love, respected and take care of, all join Windy City Social by reaching out to the social media community here in Chicago.
Nine teams, led by local Chicago Social Media Leaders, will crowd source marketing ideas at Windy City Social’s 3rd Marketing Challenge. The teams will tackle real life business challenges with source innovative marketing ideas in a mini "Apprentice-like" event where teams compete to develop the best marketing ideas for big brands.
Windy City Social attracts professionals, who are busy with their careers, but still enjoy making new business connections, expanding their circle of friends and spending time with quality people. Attendees walk away from the events with valuable new connections, tips and a re-energized attitude for their job and life! Windy City Social has connected hundreds of professionals through their events which range from unique, interactive Social Media and On-line Marketing while educating top professionals about the latest Marketing trends, to cocktail parties and wine tastings at the most exclusive venues in Chicago, to hikes and bike rides.

The event was the creation of Windy City Social founder, Hope Bertram who received her Master’s in Integrated Marketing Communications from Northwestern University. While attending Northwestern, every quarter students would work in teams on a live case competing by presenting to company executives who would select the winning team. The quarterly cases were the inspiration for the Marketing Challenge which compresses the excitement and competitive sprit of the cases all into one evening. May 19th will be Windy City Social’s third Marketing Challenge. Past challenge cases also included major brands Buick, Southwest Airlines, Goose Island Beer, Special Olympics Chicago and Imerman Angles.
