.Current Synopsis...
Current radar picture show area of light rain east of the Seattle Area, the rest of the area is free of any precipitation. On the surface chart, cold front currently over the Seattle area and with the passage of this front will bring near to below normal temperatures for the forseeable future.
.Short Term (Tonight through Wednesday Night)...
Not a whole lot to talk about, the front will move through the area with some fog developing during the evening and overnight hours, some locally dense. It will take most of Tuesday for skies to begin to clear out, but by Tuesday evening with high pressure building over the area skies will become partly cloudy through Wednesday night. Highs during this period will be in the mid 30s and lows in the lower to upper 30s.
.Long Term (Thursday through Monday Night)...
Again with high pressure firmly in control for the next few days expect very little in the way of rain. This is also depicted by the GFS model run. There will be a front that will move into the area late Thursday into early Friday morning that will have an impact in the temperatures more than in the way of precipitation. Large area of high pressure from Canada will filter in and will bring down the temperatures towards the end of the forecast period. Also of some interest looking deeper ahead into next week, forecast models are indicating a large storm system to move into the area Wednesday through Friday. This storm system could bring some strong winds, heavy rains, and some snow, with snow levels dropping to as low as 700 to 1000 feet. Will continue to monitor over the next several days. High temperatures will range from 39 to 46 and lows in 30 to 35 degree range.
