Just before midnight Grand Rapids recorded the first flakes of snow for the season. This ties the current record for the latest start to the season. The latest start was more than 100 years ago, on November 26, 1902.
After midnight another 0.4" of snow fell giving Grand Rapids the first measurable snow for the season.
