Denver weather almanac for Wednesday, March 10, 2010

Our ever-changing weather goes through another cycle today with cooler temperatures and a chance for precipitation. The setup for all of these recent storm systems is keeping them far enough away to cause much drama but close enough to make an impact.

For Wednesday, Denver finds itself sandwiched between two storm systems – one to our northeast and one passing to the south. Neither of these are in a position to do a lot for us beyond drop temperatures a bit and introduce just a chance for moisture.

Highs today will only reach the low 40’s and we will have mostly cloudy skies overhead with a chance for a scattered rain / snow mix after about 11:00am. That chance will continue overnight and into Thursday morning. Right now we aren’t looking at any real snow accumulations along the Front Range – less than an inch in most areas.

Thursday we remain cool with highs in the mid-40’s. Any precipitation should be about done by dawn and the skies will begin to clear as the day progresses.

From Friday through the first part of the weekend we start to return to more seasonal weather. Highs on Friday will be in the mid-40’s and then approaching 60 on Saturday.
