From NWS climate page/ Fort Worth NWS
According to National Weather Service data, November 2009 in the Metroplex is running (compared to 30-year averages), as much above normal as October was below normal: about 4 degrees.
As of the 25th, the month was just short of making the top 10 warmest with an average temperature of 60.5 degrees(compare to table at right).
November 2009 has also been without a freeze (as of the 25th) at DFW. Since the date of first freeze occurrence is Nov 22nd on average, this statistic by itself is nothing remarkable.
A freeze is likely over all of north Texas with a colder air mass by next week (if not sooner).
But as a whole, November 2009 has definitely been one where the heater ran a lot less than usual.
