Thursday Morning: Severe weather in the south heads east towards Maryland
One month ago we had a solid 30-40 inches of snow on the ground in Baltimore. Most of the nation had snow on the ground, and that cut back on severe weather holding the year to lower than normal reports of tornadoes and hail. See the latest severe weather charts in the slide show below which show that this season is still well below normal. Today we are going for the third day in a row in the 60s, and watching severe storms in the deep south move in our direction. This storm will eventually reach us with heavy rain, flooding, and a minor threat of strong or severe thunderstorms. See the forecast maps in the slide show below. The rainfall forecast continues to go up for Maryland and the Mid Atlantic this weekend.
