How would your child show you at work?
Just a little humor on a snowy day here in Maryland. If you want my morning forecast and local snowcast maps, click here. The first round of snow may stop for a while, but more will return this aftenoon. I will have another updated forecast later.
In an e-mail I received this morning (and showed on Good Morning Maryland at 9am), this picture was followed by a desperate explanation from a mother to her daughter's teacher.
Look at the picture for a moment, then read the mother's letter below. I have taken the names out to protect their privacy:
Dear (Teacher),
I wish to clarify that I am not now, nor have I ever been, an exotic dancer. I work at Home Depot and I told my daughter how hectic it was last week before the blizzard hit. I told her we sold out every single shovel we had, and then I found one more in the back room, and that several people were fighting over who would get it. Her picture doesn't show me dancing around a pole. It's supposed to depict me selling the last snow shovel we had at Home Depot. From now on I will remember to check her homework more thoroughly before she turns it in.
Sincerely, Mrs. ...(Mother)

Yikes! That is too funny!
Surrree...That's the first time I've heard the 'Home Depot' story from a stripper. Aren't they usually in college? LOL
I am retired from the HOme Depot. I can share one funny story regarding crummy weather.
When I was going through my training for management, I was near the front of the store. A customer stepped in the front door and in a panicked voice yelled (and I do mean yelled): "Where's The snowshovels?"
Without missing a beat, I responded in a very similar panicked voice: "Right next to the toilet paper and milk!!"
Everyone around us laughed. The custo9mer got my drift that he did not need to yell for something without looking first. I, however, got reamed by the person training me. His response" That was funny as hell but don't do it again".
