As a storm departs, cool air will spill in from central Canada.
The weekend has turned out to be better than expected. The storm that took over from Danny did produce flooding and rain between 1.5 and 4 inches in many spots, but the sun did work it's way out Saturday. Today will be a nice day with lower humidity and highs in the 80s. Only a small chance of a thunderstorm will arrive with the much cooler air this evening. The best chance will be near sunset, and far north and west of Baltimore in Carroll County and southern PA.
The taste of Autumn will begin Monday morning with temperatures in the 50s. Highs on Monday and Tuesday will end up 10 degrees below normal, in the lower 70s. Ahhhhhhh.......
There is another storm in the Atlantic that could get named Erika this week. Get a look with the weather maps in the slide show below. It is just a tropical wave now, and will likely be classified a Tropical Depression first before getting a name. Once winds reach 35 knots (40 mph), then it will get the name Erika. That could happen by Monday. More images and forecasts tracks and intensity in the slide show below.
