Walt Disney World to feature a water ski expo for the disabled

U CanSki2 teaching others to live again

On Sunday June 20th 2010,  you can watch some of the most amazing people in water skiing!

U CanSki2 and USA Water Ski will be presenting a two hour show from 8:00 -10:00 a.m. on "How We Do and What We Do" during the 12th Annual Family Cafe Summit on Disabilities held at the Disney Coronado Springs Resort in Orlando, Florida.

UCanSki2 will showcase 10 different adults and children with disabilities.

Ann O'Brine-Satterfield

U CanSki2's Program Director, Ann O'Brine-Satterfield, reaches far beyond her personal interests.  She is devoted to promoting public awareness about  disabled athletes as she is to helping integrate them into the mainstream.  Her purpose is to promote sports and recreation for people with disabilities through adaptive water skiing.

The Annual Family Café is a three-day statewide event designed to meet the need for information and networking among people with disabilities and/or special health care needs and their families here in Florida. The Family Café Planning Committee, which is comprised of self-advocates, family members, fellow nonprofits and state agency partners, plays a central role in planning The Annual Family Café. It is our mission to provide you and your family with an opportunity for collaboration, advocacy, friendship and empowerment in a family-centered environment.

Look for more articles on Ann and U CanSki2 in the upcoming months and make plans to visit Walt Disney World to watch their show.  It will make your day!
