Will Rep. Joe Wilson become a folk hero after accusing Obama of lying during his speech before Congress?
The five-term Republican from South Carolina may have apologized for what is being called his "outburst" but Americans are seeking out more information about Wilson as evidenced by Google trends on Thursday. His name appeared in seventh place among the top 100 as "rep joe wilson south carolina."
"Joe Wilson" was the top trending topic on Twitter as lawmakers and the public commented.
One of the messages on Wilson's Facebook page may be an indication of Wilson's new hero status. It read:
I wish I had a Representative with your courage and wisdom...You go Joe!!! America needs more congressmen and women like you."
In a time when America is so disgusted with Congress which is knee-deep in excusing corruption among its members and that has a 37% approval rating, Wilson may surprise the Democrats by becoming a folk hero because he was saying what many Americans are thinking.

Add the fact that the Democrats routinely booed Bush in joint session and we see the Democrats don't have a leg to stand on when it comes to feigned outrage. The disrespect to the POTUS is the same.

He should be considered a folk hero, but he should not have apologized. Did the Dems apologize every time they booed Bush during his speeches? Did Obama apologize for suggesting that any American opposing his health care plan is a liar? Obama should be apologizing to us, for all his lies about the health care plan, he should also be apologizing to the schoolchildren who he told numerous lies to about his own childhood. Joe was correct in revealing that the Emperor is naked.
The Obamabots are going to show up soon. Let me ask you liberals a question. Dubya has two brothers in politics. Obama is not going to be president forever. Do you liberals really want to risk having the Bush family making all your health care decisions for the next sixteen years?

Mentioned before was the number of uninsured we have heard for a year. 47 million. Many debunked it. Obama lied about the number last night and said 30 million.
Today the Census Bureau came out and said 48 million.
does anyone believe Obama did not know that number would be released today? He used that number on purpose so today he could say how the numbers have changed so fast and that proves the need for ObamaCare NOW..... but it won't go into effect until 2013. AFTER the next election.

First and foremost, Wilson is nothing close to a folk hero. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and there is a time and place, as well as, an ethical way to address them. Blurting out was a very mature approach to stating his beliefs. -NOT EVEN!!!!-

But Wilson's comment is accurate. The bill on the table now - does not specifically exclude illegal aliens. Several attempts were made to include the wordage that would exclude them & the democrats crafting the bill refused to include the wording. They KNEW that the illegals are included by the omission of the exclusion. They did it on purpose. If Obama did not know and feels that he was telling the truth, then, quite obviously, he did not read the bill either!
And it isn't like Pelosi or any of the Democrats would act out in public and say what she feels at the wrong time, would they?????

If Wilson is the new folk hero, why is it that more than $400,000 was reportedly raised last night for his opponent in the next election? Sounds like the only action Wilson got was to hurry along his being booted out of office.

Until he produces his full Birth Certificate - not the one that proves nothing about where he was born - he doesn't deserve the respect his office demands. And what's the big secret about his college admission papers? Did he or did he not claim scholarships only available to non-citizens? So easy to prove, yet he has spent several million covering facts. This week's lies are just the continuation of the usual trend.
