Obama Science Czar holds radical views on population control?

John Holdren

As Americans become more aware of Obama's thirty-four Czars, each one is being looked at more carefully than before the Van Jones background was exposed. Next to come under the radar is John Holdren, Obama's Science Czar.  His views on families and population control is raising some eyebrows.

Holden holds the attitude that  the traditional family is obsolete.  His approach to the science of population appears to include mass compulsory sterilization to create smaller families.

In  Ecoscience, the book he wrote with Paul and Anne Ehrlichs, he says:

Radical changes in family structure and relationships are inevitable, whether population control is instituted or not. Inaction, attended by a steady deterioration in living conditions for the poor majority, will bring changes everywhere that no one could consider beneficial. Thus, it is beside the point to object to population-control measures simply on the grounds that they might change the social structure or family relationships.

Holden also advocates

....tax laws could be adjusted to favor (instead of penalize) single people, working wives, and small families. Other tax measures might also include high marriage fees, taxes on luxury baby goods and toys, and removal of family allowances where they exist. Other possibilities include the limitation of maternal or educational benefits to two children per family.

Either Obama agrees with  John Holdren's views on population control or his staff didn't bother to vet him or read his book before bestowing the position on Holdren.

I see the phrase "compulsory sterilization" in your article but I do not see it in your quotes. Thanks for paraphrasing in such a way as to fire up the ignorant pitchforkers.

Watch a few minutes starting at 6:55 to 8:15.
Obama in his own words about how to know who Obama is. He says look at the people around him. He names about 6 people.
None have prominent positions in his WH.

That is what millions and millions are doing. Taking Obama's own words, since "words matter and have meaning."

He wants us to look at who he surrounds himself with.
We have and we don't like America hating domestic terrorists, racist America hating black nationalist spiritual advisers, convicted criminal slum lords, tax cheats by the dozens, racist professors, communist black nationalist environmental Marxists, Venezuelan dictator Chavez followers in the FCC, corrupt to the bone unions and other subversives who work to corrupt the voting registration in the US.

I have to agree with NYP, there is nothing that suggest he advocated these things.

Infact, I beleive there has to be something done about the population sooner or later. We can't continue to ignore that it won't become a problem because of the American ideal belief in freedom, including that to have a family of any size.

We've turn this inevitable problem of the future into a partisan battle for today for the silly dislike of obama.

Wow. This is just journalism at its worst. Using scary words like "compulsorary sterialization" and then quoting a guy talking about small meaures like shifting tax incentives to back up the statement? Also, the person never questions the problems the world faces that leads to these ideas.
