While former candidates for president released their college grades and records, including George Bush, Al Gore and John Kerry, Barack Obama has insisted on keeping his secret. The question being asked is why?
Bush, Gore and Kerry all had mediocre grades but that did not deter them from making their college records available to voters. So is there something in Obama's records that he does not want the public to see?
One theory is his college transcripts may show that it contains evidence of the radical curriculum he followed and which far-left professors influenced him. Although he could not hide that he had sat and listened to the anti-white and anti-American sermons of Rev. Jeremiah Wright for 20 years, he was able to use his oratory skills to distract the voters.
Since Obama's response to the Sgt. James Cowley and Henry Louis Gates Jr. fiasco caused a shock wave among some Americans, black and white, questions that remained unanswered during the presidential campaign may now cause the few journalists that remain in the United States to begin doing the investigative work that should have been done in 2007 and 2008. The year 2009 may be a wake-up call that there is something in those academic records that will cause the public to look at Obama with more critical eyes.
Questions now being explored by a some investigative citizen journalist are:
- If there is nothing in those records that would taint the persona of Obama, why are they not available to the press and the public?
- Would they reveal an aspect of him that was perceived by the public that may have prevented him from attaining the presidency?
- Would they give the public insight into the Harvard indoctrination that influenced Obama during his time as a community organizer?
Obama's behavior and that of his administration has made the public look at him more critically during three racially-tinged events:
- His "stupidity" and "racial profiling" remarks in response to a reporter's question about the Crowley/Gates situation.
- The release of a Black Panther who had intimidated voters using a billy club by a political appointee after a judgement against the man had already been handed down.

- The dismissal of the Inspector General Gerald Walpin after he investigated irregularities at St. Hope, which was headed by his friend Kevin Johnson, and discovered that federal money had been used to pad staff salaries, meddle politically in a school-board election, and have AmeriCorps members perform personal services for Mr. Johnson, including washing his car.
If Obama wants to quiet those asking about his academic records, all he has to do is release them so that the press and public can see them and judge for themselves.

So is this in lieu of the birthers crazy, or a new dimension of that? Because the whole "HE NEEDS TO RELEASE X" has been tried before, and it would take a pretty slow group to not notice the similarities. Could you let it die? Please? This country is hurt when the opposition is off being crazy in the fringes, rather then making intelligent, informed arguments against the majority's ideas. This whole "OBAMA IS TRICKING YOU ABOUT HIS (religion|birth|college)" is sour grapes at best. Please, for the sake of the country find something REAL to complain about, and ACTUALLY spend some time researching it. The election was what, 8 months ago? Get over it.
Martha, you must think the Republican Party Machine idiots if they didn't research everything there is to know about Obama before the election. So the Republicans got everything there is to get on Obama, or you consider them morons for not getting everything there is to get about Obama.
Look Martha, everything you think about Obama and everything that will ever pop into your head in the future about Obama has been looked into. The Republican Party has weasels on the payroll fulltime(as probably do the demos) to find something, anything, on the opposition. Leonard Clark, Look at the State Run Media of CNN, MSLSD etc and look at their numbers. Compare to the FOX numbers. Look at the numbers for Air America and for the conservative talk radio numbers. Compare book sales of conservative and lieberal writers.

Mr Obama has sealed his: long-form birth certificate, kindergarten records, Punahou school records, Occidental College records, Columbia University records, Columbia thesis, Harvard Law School records, any Harvard Law Review articles, any scholarly articles from the University of Chicago, his passport records, his medical records, his files from his years as Illinois state senator, his Illinois State Bar Association records (incl. application for such),and any baptism and adoption records. This is not a transparent presidency, to say the least, and President Obama's minions have seen fit to slander requests to release these documents which would be required for many routine jobs, esp. those with security checks. Kudos to the author of this article for asking the questions which would be standard (and reasonable) for any Republican. But other candidates have always released such documents. Change has come to America, and it would be reasonable to vote it out, if it cannot be forthright.

It makes one suspicious. Malkin and Coulter being "anti-american" since when? How do you and your buds define "anti-american"? I'm just curious. I thought americans were able to discuss with intelligence our differences without nonsense diatribes. That our current President leans left is by his own admission in both of his books. We all know his record in Congress was left leaning, so why be coy now? We have 3 1/2 more years to go and we will have hard work protecting our Constitution against this current Congress and President.

If Obama has nothing to hide, why does he spend large amounts of money to hide his past. It has been reported that he hardly showed up for classes at Columbia. And, when people do make intelligent, informed arguments about Obama, they are portrayed as "crazy in the fringes". All Obama has to do is to release the requested records and put all the questions to rest.
